Ok, so they aren't as comfortable as the IXS Flow Evo+, but that should be obvious. These have way more protection, and are comfortable enough for pedaling up before riding down. I have already crashed twice with these, on a ~30 foot jump, and the pads didn't tear apart (like some pads will) and my knees are (relatively) in good condition. I'm 5'11" 180lbs and the size Large fit perfectly. Average width legs.

I bought these for my kid, since he'd just grow out of the fox pads or POC pads that I prefer. I was surprised to see how well these are made. They offer burly protection and have a solid feel. We tend to carry our pads uphill in packs and wear them for the descents, so I can't testify to how well they wear while climbing. If money is not an issue, buy FOX or POC. If you need to save some money, these are less than half as expensive and will work just as well in a crash.

I'm 5'7" 180 average build and size large seemed a bit small but they stay put and are ok for comfort. Very good construction, design and well padded.

Fit is good, and they ventilate surprisingly well. Stretchy Velcro straps keep them in place. The ability to remove the pads and wash the funk out of the fabric is wonderful. I’ve only crashed in them once so far and neither my body nor the pads seem any worse for wear. These pads are a bit larger than I expected length wise but not unreasonable. Forget about putting them on without taking off your shoes. Great value for money.

After the first few rides I had a little rubbing on the back of my knee, so I thought the pads were no good.I then re-positioned the pads which seemed to sort the problem out. They can be a little warm in summer but what do you expect with a big lump of foam strapped to your leg.I've done quite a few all day rides and they have never moved even after one or two crashes. The foam insert is removable with makes washing easier though is a little fidderly putting it back in.My only criticism is that the elastic could be a little thicker as I can see it getting a little baggy even after 6 months. Having said that I will probably buy another pair due to how comfortable they are.
