These natural wood handled quill brushes will give you precision control, high colour holding capacity with a feel just like sable.
A mix of tradition and modern technology, these brushes represent the advancements of science combined with the classic needs of the traditional water colour artist. The uniqueness of the Micro-Synthetic fibre is two fold. Firstly the fibres are treated to produce millions of tiny indentations. This increases the surface area of the hairs allowing a much greater colour holding capacity for the brush. The hairs are then treated with a special process that frees the micro-synthetic fibres of any static electricity which makes brush fibres stick together. After which the hairs can smoothly and precisely react to any kind of stroke, either delicate or abrupt. By then mixing natural sable hairs we create a brush that behaves like a pure sable but at a fraction of the price.

This is a great mop (quill) brush that holds plenty of water for washes. It also comes to a fine point for more detailed work. It Is very soft. It may not be for beginners though.

This is my go to brush for my paintings. The size is perfect for most project and I love the sable/synthetic combo. Bouncy enough & holds plenty of water. Great buy!

I wasn't impressed when I first felt the extreme lightness of the handle's weight but then I used it and was amazed how easy it was to paint with. You really feel like the brush is an extension of your hand. An excellent choice for those just getting into watercolor or anyone who enjoys being able to paint quickly and accurately with the fine tip. Doesn't hold as much water as a larger real squirrel quill but gives the user more control with its snappiness.

I have now purchased 2 of these and love them. I lived in France for many years and they are very fond of loose watercolour painting, and quill brushes. For accuracy and water holding they are ideal. For detail they are perfect as hold their point if looked after properly.My only criticism is that the sizing is quite misleading when buying online, and I had to do some research before buying the correct ones for my purposes.

I bought this as I already had the biggest one in this set and thought it was lovely. This brush is a great all rounder and it holds loads of water and goes to a super tiny tip. I really recommend this brush for watercolour

Probably the best brush I've bought for the price. Really great to hold and feels comfortable. Nice tip for small details. Went ahead and bought other sizes after I got this one, I'm that happy ðŸ˜
