Your cart is empty.Masu was originally a square box used to measure rice in Japan during the feudal period. Today masu are largely used for drinking sake. Plastic sake box are great for chilled sake, served with a saucer to catch dripping. Also serve sake with glass sake cup inside the masu. fill the glass cup until it overflows into the masu cup.

I bought these as a gift for a very traditional Japanese friend, expecting them to be lacquered wood, but discovered they are cheap injection molded plastic. Completely unsuitable as a gift. Zero craftsmanship.
