There is much to like about this small saw. It is two sided with coarser teeth on one side for cuts requiring more aggressive cutting, and finer teeth on the other for cuts requiring more finesse. It has a small kerf on both sides and is very useful for flush cutting dowels and other small cuts. I've used it on both hard and soft woods and it makes relatively short work of both. It is extremely affordable, coming in at less than half the price of other Japanese-style saws, but the build is not very solid. The blade wobbles in the handle straight out of the package and I do not expect it to last very long, especially if used too much for any larger, full-board sized cuts. It also has a short blade, making it impossible to use with any kind of miter box. So if you want to use it for precise angled cuts you'll have to make marks and free hand it. If I had spent more money I would have been sorely disappointed, and certainly would be rating it less than 4 stars. But for the price my expectations were pretty low going in. If you're buying for small flush cuts, I can recommend this saw. The blade is thin and flexible and it's well-suited to that task. For anything larger or requiring more precision, you might want to just spend a few more dollars and get something larger and better built.

Lots of flexibility in the blade. Sharp cuts though wood very easily.

Very good quality saw. Has one rough edge and 1 fine edge would recommend buying it.

I bought this on impulse due to the price point and figured I would give it a try. This hand saw works like a charm and is awesome for use in tight spaces. Be careful, as it is very sharp and has the potential to knick you if you're not paying attention. Great item.

Amazing saw for the price!I bought it mainly for flush cuts of dowel joints, but it came in handy when my jigsaw died on me mid project. I was able to make controlled and quality cuts with medium effort.
