This DVI (DVI-D) to HDMI adapter features a DVI male connector and a female HDMI port with a short body, specially designed to let you bio directionally connect devices with a DVI port to HDMI, enabled devices by using a standard HDMI cable. A standard fit for a wide variety of DVI-D compatible display monitors, projectors and HDTVs. Support resolution up to 1080p full HD and 1920*1200.
Audio need to be transmitted separately.

We were giving away dozens of old DVI only monitors at work... but wanted employees to use them at home with HDMI - so we gave them these too. No complaints!

Connected this adapter to test a system that had a DVI-D and a DP on an ancient display card I had (an AMD Radeon 7450), expecting to connect a 3½mm M-M cable to my receiver. I almost pooped myself when one of those annoying Windows notifications came blaring out of the speakers after a reboot! Works like a champ. Made decently, as good as adapters I've used on others for triple the price.

This seemingly works fine but having a connector has a huge downside. Not sure if it's all connectors or just this type or brand, but any small touch to the cable, and you'll lose video source.You're better off buying a HDMI to DVI cable instead of a converter.

For the price I paid and the quality I'm getting, I cannot recommend these enough. You'll be able to connect your latest laptop with a HDMI cable to an older Full HD (1920x1080p) monitor and get the same digital signal. No need to upgrade to a new monitor, this is the next best thing.
