The factory unit had some stripped gear teeth, so I ordered this and swapped it out. I did it in under an hour, but there are several YouTube vids out there so you can see if it's doable for you. I also saw replacement gears are available, but the stock unit was sealed well enough that I had to break it to get it open, so I would go this route, myself.
