I purchased this for my husband on Valentines Day so we could use it on our getaway. It's so hard to buy for men! IT WAS A HIT!! I should have known anything with fire is a must have for men! Its so easy to put together and use. But do be careful and gentle with the glass pieces when setting in place. Its so beautiful, feels cozy and it does give out a little warmth. It came with a tool to put out the fire as well which was really nice. It doesn't come with the fluid. I had to purchase through amazon separately. This is unique and a very nice gift for the cost. I will definitely be giving this as a gift in the future!

Love this! Just what I was looking for. I love sitting around a fire, this is a beautiful safe way to enjoy a small fire on the patio of my apartment. :)Nice big flame. Very calming. When filled to the maximum with Bio Fuel burns for about two hours. No smoke at all. I have been using on my patio and in my living room every night. One of my favorite purchases!

Really pretty, easy to use, great value for the money. I really like the fact that it comes with a tea light candle holder, so you don't have to use the Alcohol, if you don't want to.

This fireplace is very attractive in its design. The brushed stainless bottom with the shiny glass shade makes a dazzling impression. With that said, the base is made of extremely thin metal, not much thicker than aluminum foil. My unit arrived with a few tiny flaws. Annoying for me, but nothing that I think a guest would notice.Filling the fuel pot is a challenge, to put it mildly, even though I poured the fuel from the bottle into a measuring cup first. That is mostly due to the viscosity of the fuel and the location of the fuel cup. Each time I filled it, I had tissues ready to mop up the spillage before igniting it.I used Regal Smart Fuel, which produced a huge flame. The cylindrical shape and lack of air supply at the bottom mean the flame violently dances as it gulps for combustion air. And, the flame frequently jumped higher than the chimney. As I said, it is like an inferno in miniature, and it is quite off-putting the first few times of use. I placed my fireplace on a marble tile I got from a home store, atop my black lacquer dresser in front of the mirror. It puts on quite a show!Even though I am using "Smart Fuel" that is supposed to be odorless and sootless, I can smell it while it's burning, and the chimney needs to be cleaned after every use. I use Windex to remove the soot. It works, but it is more work than I expected. I believe that if I could figure out how to raise the glass a few millimeters that would allow in the air for the flame, reducing its violent dancing and the soot it produces.All things considered, this fireplace does deliver a lot of bang for the buck! A full fuel cup provides about 40-45 minutes of burn time. I just wish it didn't then require 20 minutes of cleaning.

My wife was thrilled when we unpacked this fireplace and put it to use. It adds a nice modern look and feel to our living space and we get a lot of enjoyment using it. Many people have commented about how nice it when we are entertaining.

This puts out good heat and a high flame. Easy to use where you must place it on a stable surface. I would not use this indoors....it heats up fast and the flame gets extremely high....well above the rim of the glass. The smell of thee alcohol is also noxious and needs a lot of ventilation. I put it out with the included tool but it was hard because the flame was so tall and wide that the snuffer was not enough by itself. I had a larger one that I used to put the flame out. I'm glad I bought it as it will be a nice touch outside when I don't feel like staring up a full fire with wood, etc. For the price, it's a good value....just be careful....I would not place it anywhere a dog or cat might jump near by....or a child.

Make sure your cotton is sticking up above the bottom where the oil goes. First time I lite it wasn't impressed, 2nd time after pulling the cotton up, hello there was a flame that thru off heat and ambiance.
