Cheap and fragile. The beaters fly off after just a few hits, I had to superglue the tip on in order for them to stay. The handles get dented if you look at them wrong. Didn't last 2 practices and a show.

I bought these mallets as an experiment to add a new sound on my congas. They might be good on a timpani but they are too hard for what I wanted.
