Note to manufacturer: please don’t cut the string grooves so deep. It is possible for the customer to notch or file a groove that is too shallow and make it deeper. It is not possible to add wood back if the notch has been cut too deeply, just like a carpenter can’t magically add wood back if they cut a board too short.All four grooves are cut to a width and depth appropriate for the lowest string (0.91mm/36g). The other three strings fall too deeply into the groove which impedes the tone.Otherwise, the bridge is nicely made. However, I cannot use it with such wide and deep grooves.

Steve Jobs once said “some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected.†I don’t know where this floating bridge was made, but I do know there was no expectation of excellence at that workshop. You can tell just looking at the lack of craftsmanship. Unless you plan to buy files and sandpaper to correct what should have been done by the manufacturer before this item was shipped, I would skip buying from this source.
