UPDATE: After five days, my cucumber seedlings already started pushing their roots out the bottom of these pods. Not a knock on the product because it did its job, but just to warn you that these little pods are probable better for herbs and small plants. Definitely too small for cucumbers. Better to use the bigger size pods for vegetables.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Couldn't be easier! This is my first year attempting any kind of serious gardening, and I decided to start some cucumbers and jalapenos in these. The cucumbers first started sprouting in two days, and by day four all but one of them has sprouted. I started two seeds in each pod and I will thin them down to one plant each before transplanting. Nothing from the jalapenos yet, but that is expected. Bottom line, these did their job.A couple of things to note about how I used them. I didn't measure the water as the instructions said. I just added warm water to the tray and once the pods wouldn't absorb any more, I dumped out the excess. I set them up on a window sill that gets lots of light and also has a floor heater vent right below it.If you are new to gardening like me, and just want to try your hand at planting seeds without investing in other pots, starter soil, etc, I would really recommend giving these a try.

These are very handy, but made of such thin material that it won’t hold up for long. And that’s a shame because it’s plastic so it will last forever in landfill. When I say flimsy material, i mean much thinner and more fragile than a take-out food container.I wanted something like this and I was grateful it came with 2. The price was okay. If this were as thick as the very similar box I for from my local restaurant, I’d have given it 5 stars.

Love these jiffy trays. I bought a large one as well. I grow all my veg and flower from seed and the pellets are great but I can easy reuse trays just by filling with soil and removing seedlings as they sprout. Grwat items for the frequent grower

The price was right, it arrive on time, item was as advertised but both arrived dammage on the bottom and have leak all over my greenhouse shelve. I have recicle a family size lasagna container from costco to do the job...Overall good product I guess...
