No battery to operate it, why? The only place it is said to have no battery is at the end of the case. So forget the Black Friday sale and buy another brand and get the items you need to operate the product.

I needed a tool to use with a battery pack which I got for free. This jigsaw seemed like a good idea because it's cordless and sometimes you just need a quick cut somewhere away from power.While the blade is moderately easy to change, it isn't what I would consider simple. It takes some fiddling around to get it right.Also, I wouldn't call it a "quality built" tool. It seems like it could break if it were dropped more than once. If you need a jigsaw for rare occasions, this might work for you. Otherwise I will be reaching for my corded saw and extension cord.
