This is the perfectly treat to add to my dogs food when I want to give them something special. The natural ingredients make me feel good about giving it to them. I know fish oils can be good for a dogs coat and skin so I figure this is a healthier treat to give them.

I wanted Jinx Salmon Dog Food Topper because my dog is a pretty picky eater and doesn't usually eat his kibble unless it's topped with something. My dog absolutely loves it, and it has quickly become a favorite addition to his meals because it's very easier to mix in with the rest of his food making him have to search for it. I also love that there aren't filler ingredients since most everything is full of extra stuff these days. My only complaint is that since it is pretty much powdered salmon the smell is a pretty fishy, but I don't notice it leaving a scent on my dog's breath.

It was recommended that my dog be switched to a limited ingredient food for sensitive tummies. The issue was my dog refused to eat it. If I put cheese on it my dog would eat the cheese and leave the kibble. That was until I tried this. Now she eats all of her bland kibble and licks the bowl. This freeze dried topper is pretty powdery. When I stir it up with the kibble it covers the kibble almost completely. To me it doesn’t smell like anything but it eventually smells good to her because she’ll eat anything I put this topper on. A heavy pinch is enough to cover a 1/2 cup of kibble.

I like how few ingredients this topper has. They are all easy to read and understand. It comes as a powder that I like to mix in my dog's dry food with a little bit of water. He seemed to enjoy it. The bag is pretty small, but you don't need to use a lot, just as a topper. I love that there's not a bunch of filler ingredients. I treat my dog like my child, so his health is important to me. Gets a thumbs up from this dog mom.

My Yorkie, Dolly, loved the Jinx Salmon Dog Food Topper, a flavor-boosting meal topper made with freeze-dried wild-caught salmon. I consulted my veterinarian before introducing it to Dolly. My veterinarian cautioned me to give her only 1/2 teaspoon on her favorite meal once a day. The vet explained that, since it is freeze-dried, it wouldn’t be good for her to have it as a meal on its own. He also encouraged me to always have water nearby, as it might make her thirsty.The topper contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and is manufactured in the USA. My vet was pleased with the ingredients. Dolly absolutely loved it and devoured every bit. The topper smelled like fresh caught fish. I know it’s not cheap, but Dolly is like family to me, so I don’t mind spending more to provide her with a premium product like this.
