Some have said it comes off easily but do not have that problem at all. I have the 6400 and I actually have to use a little bit of pressure to get it off. I would still recommend taking it off when storing in your bag though.The LCD screen is not a big deal either. Just take it off to pop out the screen and put it back on.The rubber is tough rubber but not to the point where it's too rigid or causes discomfort on your face. It's also nice that it rotates.So far it's a very good product.

No problem to shoot outdoors in bright sun with this on. You can rotate to deflect glare from wherever the sun is hitting you.4 stars only because you will have to slide it up to move the LCD monitor and it will rip if you lay the camera down on it like in a camera bag with the lens pointing up. But I loved it so much I boght a couple spares.

You have to pop the eye piece on and off to do any articulating of the LCD screen on the back of an A6600 (and I would imagine this goes for the 6300, 6400, and 6500 too).This should be mentioned in the product description and is an unpleasant surprise once you get the item. Returning and trying the other style. They could have saved us both the hassle with a more accurate and honest description of the restrictions this eyecup imposes once in use.

Works well except pulling out the video screen. Gets in the way a bit. If you lift the screen up all the way then pull it outward toward you it will clear the eyepiece so you can fold it to the angle you want for viewing.
