Megaflow trough valves are float operated valves for use in automatic filling of water troughs. The valve is configured for underwater mounting only. The float is connected to the valve with a nylon cord, this operates a pilot valve, when the water level drops, the pilot valve is opened and the main diaphragm valve is activated. Megaflow is a good choice where its high flow, compact, robust, non corrosive construction is beneficial.

Bought this on recommendation from a cattleman. Took some additional attachment parts to convert from the pipe schedule to garden hose but well worth it. I thought the horses would play with it a bit but so far no.

I'm using the 1" which i think may be right at the limit of this float. I think if you absolutely didn't have to have 1", I think the 3/4" or 1/2" would seal easier under higher pressure. Pressure switch cuts off at 40psi, but the solar controller takes a second to tell the pump. Ramps up to about 80psi which seems to bleed off to 40psi so that is fine.

Was supposed to be a top of the line product and it leaks water out the water hose.

Installed on a gravity fed system with only about 8ft of head (that's only about 3psi, spec sheet called for 5psi min). I fed with about 100' of 2" pipe and the valve puts out about 15gpm. I have another one that's been in service for ~3years with little to no maintenance and I have had no issues. Fed directly from a pond with no filter other that a 1/4" intake screen, still no issues.

The product was easy to install and has worked without any issues! Provided the water flow I needed and that the standard hook to the side float valves couldn’t deliver!

Use this for my pressure washing business to fill up my water tank. Much faster flow then my hudson valve seams like it is around 50% faster.

Wow, I love these valves. As long as your well system has the flow and pressure.4 - 5 cows drink from the trough at once ….. this valve keeps up, true high flow!
