JobSite Heavy Duty Boot Toe Guards
JobSite Heavy Duty Boot Toe Guards will save your boots. These boot toe protector covers will extend boot life & protect against boot scuffs. If you already have damage on the toes of your boots, the toe guards can help hide the damage and protect against further damage. Includes sandpaper and glue for installing.
Directions:
Do outdoors, well ventilated. Pencil trace light outline of toe guard on boot toe. Rough up area with enclosed sandpaper. Make sure the surface is clean and dry. Squeeze glue onto the underside of each boot guard and also inside the traced area of the boot surface. Spread the glue evenly. Let the toe guards and the boot surface set for 3 minutes, until the glue is tacky. Firmly press toe guards onto the traced area of the boot toes. Let dry for 24 hours before use.

I'm always on my knees in the dirt and the tops of my boots wear faster than the soles. Not any more as these actually work as advertised. Installation was a little challenging, but that glue has been holding well, no issues and saving the tops of my boots. No wear on top at all now.My guess is these are not for narrow toed boots or for boots that are very flexible. The toe guard wants to hold it's shape so to get them to stick to narrow boots would be challenging. They have been working well with my size 9 Wolverine boots.

Fit and work perfectly. My job is hard on boot toes.Need to crawl around on concrete to layout and assemble custom show trusses from 6×8 fir beamsI've seen many reviews about these not staying glued on.Mine have been on for several weeks now and show no signs of coming off.I used the sandpaper, and alcohol prep before applying the glue to the boot and the toe guard.The shape fit my boots fine (size 11 wide catapiller steel toes).I wonder if the people who had fitment problems had smaller toed boots.I put them on 2 pairs of boots, one brand new and one about a year old. No issues yet.

Better than the liquid toe protector. I work on my knees abs wore thru the liquid stuff in a week. These lasted longer than a week.

I received the kit which contained two protectors, adhesive, alcohol wipe, a small application brush and a small piece of sandpaper. I followed the directions to the tee and made sure to clean and scuff the area to be applied. You have to apply some adhesive to both the surface of the boot and on the inside of the toe cap protector, let the adhesive become tacky in a minute or two before you put the protector onto the boot. I used just my fingers to apply pressure to the protector till it adhered. I also used a q-tip to apply some adhesive around the edges of the protector to create a seal. I let the boots cure for 48 hours before wearing. The adhesive is pretty fluid so use a little at a time when applying.So far it's been working well and doesn't seem to lose adhesion. If it becomes loose I will update this review.Update : 01/23/2023The protectors are still firmly attached to the boots. They've been used in rain, dirt, mud and rugged terrain. They've protected the toe cap area on my boots and are still firmly attached to my boots. Performance has been excellent. My boots are made of smooth leather maybe they perform differently on suede or nubuck boots but they're great on mine.

I wish these worked better. I followed all the steps it said and it didn't hold for very long. I cleaned, sanded, and glued the crap out of them but one came off and the other is about to. They worked as long as I didn't use them too hard. But walking through grass would peel the sides and pulled one completely off.

I was skeptical how well these would adhere/work on my leather Red Wing boot toes. It seems I’m always scuffing/tearing them when Im working on a concrete floor and ultimately ruining my boots. Install was straight forward, they have adhered well, worked great, and protected the boot toes bettrrbthan I could have ever expected. VERY satisfied!

I put the guards on with inner offset, when your on your knees , your toes are splayed out anyways. I put toe guards in my pocket for an hour to warm them up. I cleaned the boot toe well with alcohol I had, marked the position, out lined with a pen. sanded bit past the pen mark well.I put light even layer of glue on A and B let dry completely. Second layer, thick coat of glue ( pay attention to getting glue thick on edges well !) on A & B. Let that coat surface skin ( wont stick to finger) but is still tender. The glue is contact cement ! once you start placement you must commit! starting bottom up and press supper hard many time, work edges well ! ) The glue is premium ! You just need more alcohol then the pad they give. I put them on my new go to boots favorite Terra Quinton's180.00 so I need to save them.Success is judged by determination ! )
