I use these for precision rifle shooting. They work really well as a rear rest. Stable, very solid base and easy to adjust.

These came falling apart. 3/4 screws had become un-nutted from the top casing. Luckily the parts were still in the bag.

To be fair I would give these more like 4.7 stars because a couple of edges were slightly sharp. But these lab jacks are strong, the raising action is smooth, and the top surface is clean and bright (note that you must pull off the protective film). There are 2 lab jacks in the package and each works very well. I'm very happy with them. And considering that jacks such as these from a scientific supply store, with each edge honed perfectly, would cost 20-30 times as much (no exaggeration), I definitely am happy with my choice.
