This is my very first embroidery kit, but I am familiar with other "needlework" crafts, such as cross-stitch, needlepoint, and sewing in general. This kit is great for the beginner and helps you learn the various stitches and basic techniques involved in embroidery. I have had much fun with this kit and will post updated photos when finished. Great for men, women, and younger learners. I was always afraid of embroidery being too difficult but this kit makes learning easy.

I've always liked embroidery but haven't learned that many stitches or practiced in a while. I decided to gift myself this little kit. I'm not finished yet, but I love that it shows you so many different stitches and that it has a floss organizer.This is suitable for a teen or adult. It's too difficult for a younger child. I want to do the luna moth after I finish the owl!

Cute design! I think it's a little too detailed for a total beginner at embroidery, but it's easy enough to follow what you're supposed to do.

I love all the designs that these kits are in! The colors and patterns are pretty. The kit I got has plenty of thread to finish the project. You split off one thread at a time and fold it in half for a two-strand length that's not too long to work with. This is what's recommended, and it works well.However, the instructions could use more/clearer diagrams showing each step sequentially to make it more beginner friendly. That said, I was able to figure them out, but I've done a couple of other kits before. I found the videos to be much easier to understand than the writing that referenced jumbled diagrams. They're done at a regular pace, but they repeat each stitch several times. However, they are all accessed with QR codes and don't list any links directly. The project requires six different stitches which are all pretty simple and it includes their names, so you can find other sources for learning about them.The material is pre-printed, but I prefer the design to be on stuff I'll actually use (like clothing or a purse), so I saved the original fabric and traced it with a fabric marker onto something else. If doing this, keep in mind that the ink is water-soluble and it's a good idea to go over it with a permanent fabric marker. I'm glad there is a diagram in the kit that's in color and which labels the stitches.

I loved how easy it was to put this design together! For some reason, I assumed it would be a little more difficult as a beginner. It wound up taking me about 3 hours and was the perfect distraction after a hard day! The written instructions were not very clear, but I found the videos online that told me what stitches to do in what order. For just under $10, this included everything I needed (including the hoop!) and the preprinted design was easy to follow once I figured it out.
