It does what it's supposed to do. Documentation is equally simple (don't require much). Worked great for tuning my guitar. Initially used a youtube video to match up the sound of my guitar and make sure the tuner is working, but I trust it to do the job I need it do. It tunes and great for the price.

After a long hiatus from the guitar I've decided to give it another shot. So out comes the guitar that has been in the closet for almost 30 years. First thing before attempting to start learning is to make sure its in tune. Two cats fighting sounded better. I didn't want to invest a lot of money in case I decided to drop out again but I really do need to tune this instrument. That's where this nifty little tuner comes in handy. For less than the price of two grande latte's at Starbucks you can be the proud owner of a tuner that actually does the job and does it rather well. First thing your will notice is it's size. Smaller than a pack of cigarettes yet the screen is easily read from the guitar head. Clamp hold tuner securely in place and the screen rotates to any angle for easy viewing. Some people complained saying they dropped the screws that hold the battery cover in place. Mine had no screw and I really see no need for one. The compartment holding the battery closes securely and YES it does come with a battery. After putting on new strings and reading the very less than adequate instructions I had the guitar tuned and happily strumming along. Well, strike the last part. It's a work in progress. But the tuner does it's job and does it splendidly I might add.

I like the JOYO Guitar Tuner Clip. It is very inexpensive compared to others I have purchased in the past.I started out with Snark Tuners and then moved to D'Addario Tuners. Both work, but I wasn't satisfied with the display design.On a whim, I tried JOYO, and was pleasing surprised with its performance and began replacing the Snark and D'Addario turners. The JOYO has built in settings which allows for the specific turning of different stringed instruments.I still have, but replaced all the Snarks and D'Addario with JOYO tuners.This JOYO Guitar Tuner Clip has a sharp display, which is clearly readable and appears to accurately tune my guitars. If I ever purchase another guitar, I will also purchase a JOYO Guitar Tuner to put on it.As to the accuracy of the tuner... how do I actually determine that? I can only say it sounds like it is in tune based on the readout. You will only be able to determine this if you try it. It is an inexpensive tuner alternative .

I was going to purchase a TC Electronics tuner for $35 dollars and decided to take a chance on this tuner. I was not expecting much but this thing is great! The tuner I wanted to purchase was more flashy but this thing gets the job done for less than $10 dollars and it’s really easy to read.The pics on Amazon are a terrible representation of this tuner. Buy it! Buy 6!

Waste of money -I appreciate some Joyo products. This tuner cannot be relied on to tune quickly during a live performance. I need a tuner that works instantly - this is not it. Spend the extra money for the Snark - my Joyo units are going in the trash.It works slightly better with an acoustic instrument - very little response for an electric guitar.

Added this with the purchase of the practice amp I ordered for my daughter’s bass. It won’t pick up E and A is a struggle. This tuner has a hard time with the low vibrations even in bass mode, tried clipping it on in every position possible but nothing until A. The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is it works really well for guitar so I’m able to use it my self. No idea on violin or ukulele? But I won’t purchase for a bass guitar.

Nice bright display, simple to use, compact and fairly accurate. It's fairly well made too.It works as well as our snarks & long and macqade clip on tuners but has a few less functions.I'll definitely buy more of these. I teach guitar part time and will recommend these as an inexpensive tuner to my students.It works fairly well on all of our stringed instruments. We have 8 guitars, bass, mandolin, violin and a cello and this works pretty good on them all.

This is extremely tiny tuner lol 😂Guess u get what u pay for , it works but if u have poor Vision go for something bigger
