I just received this kit. It has everything you need to get started for beginners. I will be getting an additional comb so I have the different size gaps. The quality of each item is better than I had hoped for. The instructions are not as great as I would have liked. They do explain the different items and give you some direction to quilling. It is just not as thorough as it could be. The thicknesses of the paper is perfect and comes in multiple sizes. I am extremely glad I bought this, only wish it would have been my 1st purchase to save me a lot of time. If your considering I'll guarantee after my shopping around and research it's the best kit I was able to find. Buying just a few of the tools or supplies can surpass this in price.

I read many of the reviews and was a little worried the tool box would be too flimsy. I was pleasantly surprised how nice it is. Yes, it would probably break if you throw it against a wall! For my needs, it works great and keeps everything organized. Everything does fit inside when organized. I keep the paper in a zip lock bag as I have more paper. The blue is a lovely color and like all the tools matching. Good quality tools. I would say a more detailed instruction manual would be nice. Great gift! Good for beginners and advanced! Shipped quickly!

I have never tried paper quilling before and it shows, BUT I’m having fun learning. This kit is a great beginners set. It arrived missing two tools/parts, but I was offered a small refund to make up for that. Overall a great value and set. I’ve only made the one project, so I can’t speak to durability or longevity of the tools, but I have no reason to think they’d break easily as a couple other reviewers mentioned. That hasn’t been my experience so far. I would recommend this kit.

Lots of tools. My grandaughter was thrilled with the battery powered quilling pen after we finally managed to pull the pen tip off. It took an online video and pliers to remove the pen tip.The tool box is a disappointment. It is well built but I expected it to be sized to more neatly contain the provided tools and supplies….the provided design samples and coordinate setting sheet do not fit in the tool box, most everything else is a disorganized mess in the bottom compartment. A box would be just as handy.I would recommend buying a kit without this tool box.

I got this kit for my wife as a gift before xmas and she uses it every day. Tools she didn't know she could use and a great case to store it all in.

What description does NOT tell you. You need to buy glue, triple A batteries, and the tool box does not have room for the whole kit. You cannot even Quill without glue!!!!So I spent good money and cannot use the kit. With me a snow storm was going on AND because I live in the country it is 19 miles to the nearest craft store! As a Great-grandma I cannot imagine opening this with a child to tell them we could not start for day/days!!!! However every thing they promise is in the kit.
