Have it on a trough of a pool. Does the job keeps it to the full mark, no leakage, great value, really easy install, built quality is superb, shuts off when full, functionality is what it’s supposed or intended to do.

You can pay more for other brass float valves (in the $100's), that are similar, but why? This float valve is inexpensive and works great! Easy to install. You will need a short hose with two female ends or, a washing machine hose (hooking it to a water hose).

It is not Male PIPE Thread. It can not be because it has a washer seal and nut used to seal it in hole. Male Pipe Thread (MPT) is TAPPERED threads and a nut will not work on them they start out smaller than 3/4 and enlarge slightly so the PIPE is sealed by the thread when thread sealer is used. ASK YOIUR LOCAL HARDWARE STORE TO EXPLAIN. 3/4 inch PVC or galvanized PIPE does NOT fit this fitting. And my unit was HORIZONTAL ONLY, NOT ADAPTIBLE TO VERTICLE.AS FAR AS THE PRODUCT

With a 1/2" pipe thread you would expect a decent amount of flow. This one does it well. Quality components!

The valve is working good. But the float ball made by stainless steel, too heavy and small, could not float over level of water. I have to buy another float ball to replaced it.

They list as valve options: 0.5" [1/2"], .75" [3/4"], 1" and 3/4" (2 pieces). I ordered two 1" valves. According to any standard, that should mean a 1" internal diameter; however, the first one opened - part #B07MMML313 - measured ~0.6" i.d.; the threaded o.d. is ~0.8"; the outlet is ~0.35"; ball float ~4.25" in diameter. This would indicate an ~1/2" valve kit. Tolerances are suspect. This first one I opened was certainly not a 1" valve kit.The second one I opened - also part #B07MMML313 - measured ~1.07" i.d.; the threaded o.d. is ~1.29"; the outlet is ~0.475"; ball float ~5" in diameter. This is more what would be expected with a 1" valve kit.Two of these valves were ordered, two received, one different than the other, both with the same part number but one box larger than the other (see images); neither what I expected according to the description. Additionally, the product does not appear to be high quality as stated and would need to be positioned well below the waterline to shut off water flow effectively. If you need a positive shut-off without leaking, this is not the valve design for you.A better physical description is needed in the listing to make it less ambiguous and less misleading; or simply send the right part with tighter tolerances to match the hype.CAUTION: THIS IS A LOW PRESSURE VALVE. Watch the video before ordering and you will discover that. Very disappointed.

The rod that connects the value to the ball is missing. I would return it but the product is no longer available. Will attempt to find the rod locally.
