These worked great! Good Quality pivot balls with firm plate attachment. I even welded one of them to another steel track plate and it bonded well.... just like good steel does. One thing though.....these arrived painted Gloss Black...so they're not the galvanized steel look as in the Amazon photo. I mated these up with a Gas Strut: 20 inches in length extended, 12 inches in length compressed, with a pushing force of 10Lbs, purchased on Amazon from Red Hound Auto. I used them to horizontally open a storage area door(and keep it open) above my Workshop bathroom. The actual door probably weighs 75-90 lbs, but don't get confused on the Strut force of only 10 lbs.....as I said, the strut opens the door horizontally, so it's not supporting the weight of the door. The door is about 10 feet above my head and I needed a way to remotely swing the door open, and stay open, while I accessed the storage area with a ladder. I'll get a short video of the mechanism uploaded...I think you'll like this door concept.

I used this product for a custom install of a gas shock into a lift top bench. This bracket worked perfect for mounting and has held up well over the last few weeks. This was installed in an outdoor environment and is subject to water and moisture. The finish out of the package was in good shape and I don't see any reason it wont hold up for a long time.

This bracket is very solid and works great with the SUSPA 100 LB gas spring. However, there is an extension behind the strut knob that prevents you from mounting it flat and flush with what-ever surface you are mounting it to. You have to drill a little hole in order to mount it properly and flush. But other than that, it is very sturdy and works great!

these actually were black when arrived, they were described as stainless. but they work perfectly, an exact match of what I needed. no one will notice the color difference, they stay under the hood of my boat. I was glad to have found them, I actually came across them by accident on amazon. I was expecting it to be a nightmare to find them with a dealer. great price. the color is irrelevant, and the paint should protect from corrosion.

These work great replacing the eyelet on my truck tool box. Will buy again. Recommend getting stainless steel 3/16 rivets for installation. Aluminum rivets are not strong enough and don't hold up well.

This design won't fit my Winnebago. I need 1 with the ball connector where the middle hole is. 3 stars is in the middle and I consider neutral.

I have always thought that the rods that hold up my rear hatch of my Subaru was really a step forward from the old springs. Gas springs are a great invention. These were purchased to hold up the hatch on a home-built travel trailer. It was hard figuring out the right amount of life needed, and where to place these brackets, but after clamping boards that we were able to move up and down, it worked well.
