Appears to be a good size fit/match to my original Suspa gas spring with only very small cosmetic differences in spring. Maybe the same manufacturer but just branded with JR Products?? Will see how these hold up to the salt environment compared to the original being used to hold up a heavy fiberglass live well / bait prep cover on my sport fisher. Good pricing so I picked up a second as a spare.

I have a Watkins/ Hot Springs cover cradle with only one gas strut. As the cover has become little heavier with water, I solved the problem by adding a second gas strut like the larger cover cradles have. I have these gas struts on both side and they work great for a fraction of the cost of a branded strut. This second strut gives so much more support.

Seems to be as advertised. Very powerful for it's size and very quiet. The outlet is bigger than what I needed for my boat, but it seems durable enough for marine use. The shape and size is perfect.

I can't believe how good Amazon can be sometimes on the most estoteric parts - this, a gas strut for a kit build plane ! Snap out old part, snap in this one.

I purchased this to replace the my Hot Springs Grande cover assist spring SPD products part no. GSNI-5150-40.Apparently the JR Products GSNI-5150-40 dimensions are different, it does extent to 15 in. but does not compress to 8.91 as stated, compressed is longer as reported by other reviewers. I was able to use it but the cover does not sit completely vertical but is usable so I did not return it.Hot Springs wants a ridiculous $80 for it.
