As stated in previous reviews. I have purchased many JSAUX products and this is another one. As usual the product is well made and constructed. Now does it block data? Since I have no equipment to test that I will have to rely on the reputation of this company. I honestly feel it does what it suppose to do.

In today's technical world, you have to take steps to protect your identity and data. I have learned that nothing is free on the internet. You are paying something, usually by giving up your personal information. This holds true with free USB charging stations, especially in airports. Airports are notorious for not being able to protect users against data theft. And your phone is the most vulnerable.Simple explanation: a USB has 4 connectors: 2 for charging and 2 for data transfer. When you plug into a USB charging port, you are exposing your 2 data connectors while charging. This Data Blocker only allows the 2 charging connectors to be active. The 2 data connectors are not active (or blocked). By placing this blocker between the USB charger and your device, you are protecting your data. You will never know if a hacker has breached a USP charging port until it's too late. I keep a set in my travel bags ready to go so I don't forget to pack them when I'm in a hurry.Other airport travel advice: install an internet security app on your phone or device; use the VPN feature; and if you have to use a public WiFi, double check that it is the "real WiFi" for the airport and not a hacker who set up an official sounding fake WiFi connection to steal your data.

Blocks data lines buy allows charging. I use it to keep Android Play from triggering in my car. Used to work great in my Ford, not so much in my Hyundai.

The 3 stars are only because I have not used them much. I use them at airports and rest stops. So far no one wreaking havoc on my phone so I am assuming they work. They look nice and I can use them across the board on different devices. It was a small price to pay for a piece of mind, helpful in foreign areas where you are not sure if the charging stations have not been tampered with.

She uses this when she plugs into chargers outside of our home. Even though I’ve warned her about getting her data taken off her phone, this prevents her from having to think about what she’s doing when she’s flying around the country.

Cheap but good build, sturdy, classy. Don't know its endurance in time, but it work nice. I needed for my car, as it is older model and couldn't charge the phone directly due to some communication error. Now, no data communication, no error, no power cuts, i can charge directly from car's usb plug.
