I bought these for my grandson yo practice writing (and promptly took the sharpener to hold onto). He was thrilled and wouldn’t let me put them away- I had little kid lead pencils that he enjoyed clicking the lead out of- these are better (not finding lead on my couch…). Nice size. Definitely would buy again

TL/DR:- $5 or less would be a better price for this set. Watch for sales with this brand and amongst the competition.- Pencil marks are very thin and faint (gray, not dark black) like a harder graphite.- 3 1/2†is VERY SHORT. Any shorter and they would be unusable even for toddlers. Not much room to sharpen and lose length.REVIEW:Mostly by observing the end result of a 3-year-old's use of these pencils, I have a less than stellar impression. They appear to have an extra hard graphite, that leaves behind a thin gray line, rather than a thick darker black line. I haven't used these myself, so take this with a grain of salt.The 3-year-old leaves behind a very thin rather faint line when he uses these graphite pencils in a maze book. It makes me think these pencils are notably harder than our usual #2 pencils.The kids don't seem to mind or notice, but for short jumbo pencils intended for young children, I would think you'd want them to leave behind a nice thick, dark line of graphite. This set of pencils does not provide that satisfaction.The kids do love the different colors. I love triangular shaped and "jumbo" thick pencils anyway, including for adult use (but these are VERY SHORT). If you watch for a good sale price (I'd hope for something closer to $5 after coupons), these short jumbo 3-sided pencils are just fine for helping the 3 to 4-year-olds get used to holding a pencil correctly and writing.PRICE: I paid $6.97, which was competitive at the time, although still too expensive for what you get. Watch this brand for coupons and sales, which occur somewhat frequently.They're a great size and shape, but awfully short at 3.5 inches. (I spent a long time looking for pencils that were even 1/2†longer. There's basically no room to sharpen these and lose any length. Even toddlers don't need them that short. The kids like to choose their favorite color, but I probably wouldn't purchase these pencils again.I happen to be in love with the American made Ticonderoga Tri-Write graphite pencils, in the extra-thick Laddie or My First lines for children. They do have some not-full-length versions of the My First jumbo pencils, that are surely very pricey, but are longer and overall nicer than these. Mainly, I've been watching for price drops (or low USED-GOOD prices) on the full length My First or Laddie Tri-Writes. in a 12 or 36-pack. I'd probably get a pack of those, before reordering these 3.5" hard-graphite pencils.

These are not colored pencils. They are a great size for little preschooler hands and it is certainly fun to have a set of regular pencils that come in different colors. However, they are not colored pencils. The picture can cause some confusion for purchasers and the product itself might be confusing to a child who is accustomed to the color of the pencil matching the color of the led. The pencil sharpener it comes with is also not safe for young children. I wish it had more of a protective cover to it so kids could use it safely.

Children can use them successfully, thanks to the triangular shape.We use them almost daily, and we are delighted with the pencil tip that doesn't break easily, so we have to sharpen it less often. As a result, I lost the sharpener. 😂

If you're like me who love to start early learning for their child and want to teach writing before they start school, you have got your hands on right thing.With ordinary pencil our son wasn't able to grip as much but with changing to these small ones he can do much better and he has developed great interest too.He love those bright colors and he can hold it better with small tiny hands and fingers.I would recommend these to all the parents who struggle to get their kids to write.

I bought these for my autistic grandson who was struggling to use a proper grip with traditional pencils and pens. The triangle shape is better for little hands and those who struggle with fine motor skills. A must for starting writing drawing etc.
