One of the best purchases I've ever made. One of my drums would clang and bang and would make me jump out of my skin. Now it vents as needed in the hot Texas sun. Thank you.

As the other reviewer stated, the rubber gasket is not solvent resistant and will likely leak whatever flammable material is in the drum. Apparently there is significant incompetence at Justrite nowadays to specify, install, and ship something like this. Fortunately we were able to take off a solvent-resistant gasket from a rim-seal type bung.

Allows me to put the drum on a horizontal cart when it is full.

The valve works OK- but the thick rubber washer seems to expand and distort from gasoline?? Now the rubber is soo distorted it no longer seals.. One would think that a solvent vent would be OK to use with solvents..
