I got this gold anodized aluminum pick guard for my Squier Sonic Series bass. I laid it over the top of my original pick guard and everything lined up perfectly. This pick guard not only fit perfectly, it also looks great.Only one drawback, the edge feels a little sharp, however that can be smoothed out easily. If you’re looking to upgrade your current pick guard, I’d recommend this one. Great value for an easy upgrade.

The mounting holes and pickup route line up with my Fender original pickguard. Its shape is slightly smaller; it lacks the width of the Fender's beveled edge but it covers the control cavity without issue. The pickup fits snugly in the route just like on a Fender original. It is not a mirrored finish in case anyone was wondering but it does look good; care was taken in making this pickguard look presentable. Overall a good accessory for the price.

I previously bought and returned one of these that was badly bent, but this one was in great shape. I installed it on my Squier Classic Vibe 60's Precision and it didn't fit perfectly, but it was close enough that I didn't need to drill new holes. It lined up as well as any other aftermarket pickguard I've tried, so I can't complain about that too much. I checked carefully for any sharp edges like others have mentioned but didn't find any. The only thing I noticed was how much thinner it was than my stock 3-ply tort pickguard. I had to adjust the nut on each pot underneath the pickguard so my knobs weren't too high. I thought I might use my existing chrome screws for the pickguard because all of my other hardware is chrome, but it looks great with the gold screws, they blend in well.

The first thing I did to my new Player's P Bass was change the pickguard and install round wounds. This pickguard is super precision machined. It pops into place between the neck and the pickups. There is no gap at all, a tight fit, but not too tight. All of the screws were lined up. I used the original chrome screws,. They supplied a bag of gold plated screws. It made my new bass look like a 1957 to the casual observer. There are no holes drilled for the thumb rest, the pickup cover, or the bridge cover. I wish they sold a version with these holes, but I didn't reduce the overall rating.I did the change with the strings off. I think you could do it with the strings still on, but I don't know. the fit around the neck and pickup is really tight.I use this bass at my vacation home. I have a five year old American Standard at my real home, with the same color and aluminum guard, and flat strings. I couldn't imagine a P Bass with a plastic guard. I am old school.BTW, it comes in a perfect size zip lock bag. It is ideal for storing the original pick guard, and the case candy. Remember, the Player series have no case. You will need a small Phillips head screwdriver, a very small flat screwdriver for the knobs, and a "monkey wrench" for the nuts on the knobs and output jack. And about a half hour of patience.

On first look it appeared to be a decent alternative to the more expensive fender guard. it was too tight around the neck and actually scraped it when I did a dry fit. None of the holes lined up and the shape was smaller than the Fender guard I was replacing. I checked to see if it would fit an Indonesian made Squier and the same issues arose and it would not cover the very last hole by the input jack. Neither the Fender or Squier pickups could be squeezed through, I would have to remove over 1 cm of material around the pickup holes.

I bought the black anodized pick guard for a 2022 Fender MIM Player Precision bass. Fit and finish was great. Good machining with no rough or overtly sharp edges. The cut out for the pickup was a good fit, not too tight. All 13 mounting holes lined up perfectly with my bass so it was a true drop in replacement. It also looked great with a set of black Vintage Forge knobs against the polar white finish. A very good value for the price. PS: Squier guitars/basses are notorious for having multiple hole patterns across product lines so be warned. Cheers.

Put this on my new player series fender and it lined up perfectly and looks great. Getting compliments and really loving this upgrade. High quality pickguard for sure. Nice sheen but not overly shiny. Screws are perfect size and fit, all around great product. Definitely recommend.

Insufficient clearance for the pickup which makes it difficult to fit due to the slight variations on typical p-basses. Neck pocket should also have more clearance.

Logré instalar el pickguard después de casi 2 horas de estar limando el metal ya que las entradas de las pastillas están completamente descuadradas. Aunque es bonito y ah recibido muchos cumplidos, la parte de la instalación es un punto a tener en cuenta.

The package looked all stressed out and few small scratches on the surface, but not to concern. Fits perfect on Squier P bass, except pot holes made to fit large original Fender resistors which is good, CTS pots will be for upgrade. Edges ok, feels sharp but not cutting sharp.
