Was actually surprised. Read some reviews that they aren't the best quality, but the set I received works well on my strat. Smooth turning. No slipping of sticking of the gears. Stay in tune well for not being being locking tuners. Gold finish is ok. Looks like in the pics...more of a satin gold.

Near exact match front ferrule is much smaller so I reused my originals . Not a fan of the screw on knobs, other wise pretty much exact r4eplacement part . Wasn't wanting to do the mod work for 70s Fenders.

These tuners are ever-so-slightly different from other semi-enclosed tuners that advertise as drop in replacements for Squier strats. On my Indonesian-made Squier strat, the tuners are pointier on the sides, like these are. Other Squier tuners have a slightly more straight edge on the sides and DID NOT FIT my strat.My best recommendation for fit: look at the shape of your tuners. If they look like these, then these will probably fit.The tuners themselves aren't a revelation or anything, but they work and are smooth enough. Best of all, they're not broken: I only bought these to replace tuners whose knobs crumbled apart after so many years.

Not exactly the most high-end tuners out there.The caps are loosely held in place and there is a little shaft play in the tuners that create rattle if the string is not on. Finally, the included bezel is much smaller than what was originally on the guitar so the wood discoloration can be seen.They do line up and fit on the guitar, so technically they work. They hold tune just fine as well. I would recommend spending a little more on a nicer set of tuners

Drop in replacement for my 1997 Affinity Strat. Used my previous screws and bushings. Very happy I didn't have to drill holes. Smooth turning. Update: I've also installed gold ones on my 1996 Squier Stratocaster. These also dropped in smooth and look great!

If you are searching for a quality set of tuners for your old offshore guitar with 5/16 holes then look no further. These are a perfect drop-in upgrade. Finding them in black was an added bonus!

If you're working on a tight budget, these will be ok as a decent replacement set of tuners. Quality is not bad and they have a good feel when tuning the guitar.
