We bought this after having pizza night at a friends house and when I asked for the salt, they had one of these. I love it! It seals well, the magnet holding it in place is good and strong and the lid fits how it should. It holds a considerable amount of salt! It wasn’t hard to clean when we bought it, and is very cute on the counter by our stove.

A Touch of Nature & Convenience: A Review of the Acacia Salt CellarGone are the days of plastic salt shakers cluttering my table! The Acacia Salt Cellar has brought both elegance and functionality to my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier. Here's why I love it:Warmth & Beauty of Natural Wood: Crafted from beautiful acacia wood, this salt cellar isn't just practical, it's a visual delight. The rich, warm tones and unique grain patterns add a touch of nature to my countertop, complementing any kitchen style. It's a far cry from the sterile plastic containers I used before.Functional Design: Beyond aesthetics, the salt cellar boasts thoughtful design features. The swivel lid with a magnetic closure keeps salt fresh and dust-free, while also being incredibly convenient to open and close with one hand. No more fumbling with awkward lids while cooking! The size is perfect, holding enough salt for everyday use but not taking up excessive space.Easy Maintenance: Unlike porous materials, acacia wood is known for its resistance to staining and odors. Cleaning is a breeze – simply wipe it down with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. This makes it ideal for storing salt, which can be sticky and challenging to clean from other materials.Durable & Long-Lasting: Acacia wood is naturally strong and resistant to warping or cracking, ensuring this salt cellar will be a cherished kitchen companion for years to come. The sturdy construction gives me peace of mind knowing it can handle daily use without any worries.A Sustainable Choice: For those who are eco-conscious, the acacia wood comes from sustainably managed forests, making this salt cellar a responsible choice. I appreciate knowing that my purchase doesn't come at the expense of the environment.More Than Just Salt: While I primarily use it for salt, the acacia cellar's versatility is another bonus. It's perfect for storing other frequently used spices, herbs, or even small condiments. This adds a touch of organization and style to my countertop, reducing clutter and keeping seasonings readily accessible. In conclusion, the Acacia Salt Cellar is more than just a container; it's a beautiful, functional, and sustainable addition to my kitchen. It elevates the everyday act of seasoning food, turning it into a small pleasure. If you're looking for a stylish and practical way to store your salt (or other seasonings), I highly recommend giving this acacia gem a try!

I use this to hold finishing salt and other go to spices. Love the cover and the looks. Has lasted for months with no issues. I bought another set to use for nick nacks around the house and it just looks good. It’s not air tight, but easily keeps our dirt and dust. For the spices, they stack and hold a lot of spice. Easy to slide open and close. Love the color.

This wooden salt holder does exactly what I need it to do. The sliding lid opens easily with one hand, and the magnet closure is strong enough to keep it securely shut. It has a simple, well-made design and looks nice on the counter. No complaints.

Well built and a good size, lid works well, and the color is good. Most importantly it holds the salt

Love how the lid swings open with one hand. I leave it sitting by the stovetop on a lazy Susan.

The lid is too loose. Tighter lid would make a 5 star product.

The wood of the salt cellar is not as richly colored as in the product photos. The stain and varnish are blotchy, with some lighter areas and some drip marks. I would have preferred a bare wood container that I could oil myself. The only bare unfinished wood is the rim of the container, and users ought to oil it so it doesn't crack.Right out of the box, the lid is slightly warped. I can only imagine that this will get worse over time. In addition, the pivot for the lid is loose. So there are gaps that will expose the contents (salt, in my case) to moisture in the kitchen. The pivot is capped, which looks nice but prevents you from tightening the lid. Again, I imagine this will only get looser over time. The little magnet in the rim is convenient for quickly flicking the lid to a closed position after use. This is a good feature when you're in a flurry of activity and only have one hand free to season what you're cooking. Since the magnet is weak enough to also allow one-handed opening without flinging the salt cellar across the room, it means that the lid is only really a light cover rather than a positive seal.If the salt were better protected, I'd consider adhering a sheet magnet to the bottom of the container, so it could live on the back ledge of my stove, up off the counter. But since the seal is not good, I don't think I can keep it near steam, and I'm rethinking even using this at all as a long-term solution.

The lid doesnt pivot easily - very stiff. I need to use both hands to use it, one to hold on to the pot and one to turn the lid. I'm guessing that the metal pin was installed very tightly. Too bad that there's no way for me to access this piece to try to loosen it myself. When I'm cooking and have messy hands, I want to be able to use this with just one hand. Little disappointed
