We needed a tall press in our shop to press gears on to motor shafts. This was the cheapest I could find so I got it. I was surprised by the weight and how sturdy this press is. It exceeded my expectations and I put my small press in storage now I have one to do it all, and at a great price.

I had no difficulty assembling the press, it's a 10-second job that really doesn't need instructions: you just slide the main shaft into the casing, tighten the retaining collar, and you're ready to align it via the usual 4 alignment screws with jam nuts found on all small arbor presses. Worth noting: the base casting is fully hollow--not even support ribs--which is why it's so much lighter than most presses.I found 2 things to be sub-par on this press. Firstly, the top of the square press column was filed in attempt to make it safe, but mine still had a very sharp burr that I needed to remove. This does not affect use, it's only a safety issue to be aware of when unboxing and assembling. The second thing is that the press is finished in a cheap or possibly improperly-mixed paint. I'm accustomed to machine tools being finished with epoxy enamel so that they hold up to the variety of solvents commonly used in the shop (light oil, marking dye, turp, alcohol, etc). The paint on this frame is not at all chemically resistant; there are already marks on it just from where I left a pair of pliers sitting on the base--the plasticizers in the rubberized handle of the pliers attacked the paint! I've never seen this happen in all my years as a machinist.

Gift for my son. He says works well and is a good value for the money. Uses it to stamp leather and other purposes. Very satisfied. The first time I ordered, the product was lost in shipping by UPS. The seller provided great customer service and sent out another one right away.

I would not recommend you purchase from this seller the device comes with no instructions you have to assemble it partially

Glad I went with this rather than waste money on a cheaper press!

The press works fine now after plenty of WD40 and manual clean up. I will have to buy some grease and get it on there to keep from additional rusting. Couldn’t even move the handle and had to be sprayed and worked up and dow.for about 15 minutes to get it mostly freed up and moving smoothly. Probably wouldn’t buy again

Nicely manufactured and does the job I needed it for perfectly. (Pressing cap screws into plastic thumb screws) This press needs to be secured to a base during use. The only place the manufacturer dropped the ball is that the plastic head thumb screw that presses against the hand held shaft of the press to keep it in place is useless. The screw has a flat bottom and cannot be tightened sufficiently against the round shaft to hold it in place. After a few presses the shaft becomes loose. This is easily resolved by drilling a small indent in the shaft itself to accept the end of thumb screw. A bit of lock-tite and the solution is permanent. I did not penalize the manufacturer for this and still gave them 5 stars as the press still offers excellent value. Hopefully the manufacturer will put a little indent in the side of the shaft handle near the end moving forward. This could be either drilled or milled.

Of the few presses I've bought (for leatherwork), this one is by far the best:- taller than Vevor 1Ton- working height (ram clearance) was also taller- super thick anvil plate- was not missing any screws/parts- finish was smooth and was pleasant to the touch- was not covered in grease- super fast shipping (came several days early)

Works really well for me.. the ram portion even goes around 1/8" below the surface to ensure stuff gets pushed through .. very wide back piece.. -you may want to lube up the mechanical pieces and bolt to a solid table

This is my second one, first one was fantastic, not sure how this could happen on the second unit, press arrived with rust everywhere, unit keeps seizing, just awful.

When my press came there was damage to the box which resulted in damage to one of the bolts that sticks out of the side of the press. This was probably the courier's fault. Fortunately for me that bolt doesn't seem to have anything to do with the functioning of the press. After hammering the bent bolt straight I was able to remove it and replace from local hardware store If I so choose (I dont). Press works great for leather craft and thats why I bought it.
