a smaller version of a baren generally used to force ink to be applied to paper in printmaking. (you ink a printing block and lay a piece of paper over the top and then you rub the bare across the paper forcing the ink to be applied to the paper with equal force). This is to be used with crafting stamps. You ink up your stamp and place it down on paper and then you place something like a stiff piece of acrylic on top. Rub the baren across the top of the acrylic thereby applying equal amounts of pressure over the stamp. This makes for much better stamps. Unfortunately the seller's description does not spell this out so someone might not know what to do with this. Once you know, you will find this is little device is useful to own. Check out YouTube videos for better instruction. I am giving this only 3 stars because the lack of info and because I can not predict how long the felt will last attached to the plastic with just some adhesive.
