Don't like the results from the 'free-hand' hole puncher.The one with the 'grip' works very well. Hole was very clean. I don't think one cut-out chunk of vinyl went into the tubing. Must be by design if it is that effective at avoiding it.

Over the years I have installed drip-lines to improve watering plants (without water waste). I have purchased MANY hole punch tools for drip-line irrigation, and this HOLE PUNCH tool has been the best investment so far. Easy to use, easy to operate, punches clean holes in VERY WARM (Hot tubing) or cold. good engineering!!

I bought this punch to install a raised-bed garden box irrigation system consisting of four individual boxes, each with three longitudional runs of drip-emitter tubiing. The punch was used to make the headers. The punch works fine but the die easily detaches from its holder and can easily be lost.

The non-mechanical hole punch part is quite solid and cuts into the irragation tube quickly. The other end of the tool has an indent that holds ¼ inch barbs and couplings in-place while you push on the drip tube. I rarely even need to use the mechanical tool which works like a plier to grip and punch holes. It works as well, but is usually not required. A good purchase!

Al realizar un proyecto de riego necesitaba una herramienta para hacer goteros en una manguera de 16mm. Es una gozada, no tienes que hacer esfuerzo y te hace un agujero perfecto para introducir goteos o microtubos (con su respectivo enlace). Ahorra muchÃsimo esfuerzo y sobre todo tiempo. El precio me parece algo elevado pero el uso y la comodidad que tienen merece la pena.Sin duda, totalmente recomentable.
