Very sturdy and durable. Shelf surfaces are metal. So they won't melt as the oem ones did when my wife placed hot grates on them.

These have been great replacements for our Kamado. The original wood finally broke down after 6 years. These should last the rest of the lifetime of our joe.

I had the original shelves for the kamado joe classic I and wanted to upgrade because they kinda started melting when I'd get my grill really ripping and roaring. Problem is this, the screws holding it together don't hold well into the cast aluminum and will fall out quite easily. Mine arrived with 2 missing and a wobbly handle on one shelf, for nearly 150$ i expect DAMN GOOD QUALITY! this thing isn't worth the material its made of. And I really like kamado joe as a brand and think their grills are unbeat... this was just a swing and a big old miss. I guess I'll just keep melting the plastic ones because these NEED to be returned.
