These boots are fantastic for plodding around in the snow. They’re easy to slip on/off and the adjustable straps ensure a nice fit. When I first put them on I was concerned they might be too snug/narrow. But within a few minutes the liner loosened up a bit and the fit was great. I bought these because my feet got too cold in my Sperrys while clearing my driveway of snow. I was out in the snow (and 8 degree weather) for 7 hours each of the last two days and my feet were toasty warm. Good traction as well. I highly recommend these boots if you live in a snowy area.

I bought my first pair of Kamik boots in 1988. That pair had floppy uppers supported by the inside felt lining. The lug was not as tight and construction was looser than the these, but they were a solid a pair of boots. The first pair was used during Colorado and Canadian winters for 25 years and never leaked and never failed. The felt eventually fit my feet like a glove and it was like putting on an old friend. Those boots were taken from me by someone who hopefully needed them more than me a few years ago. With the lack of snow in Colorado over the last few years, I didn’t need them as much anyway. I was recently invited on an ice fishing trip in the high mountains and last week I ordered a new pair for the trip. The new pair has an insulated upper boot now and the lug is very solid. I know from experience that the felt lining will be tight at first and will wear in perfectly over time. I have 10.5 EE foot so I ordered size 11. I will need to wear them more before I start wearing socks to break them in. They were tight at first but after a couple miles of walking on the lake over snow and ice, they felt great. Morning temps were -22F and my feet were still warm. My toes will normally get cold but they were comfortable the entire time. With performance like this, and quality made in the USA, it’s a no brainer. I may not last another 30 years but these boot will. Hopefully they will go to someone who needs them more then, just like my first pair.

First off, we've bought Kamik boots for our three boys for the past 3-4 years, and we've always been very happy with the value and durability of these boots. Our kids can't seem to wear them out before they outgrow them. All of the boys have always said that the boots keep their feet warm regardless of the temps, even through last winters stretch of -20 for several days. Granted the kids aren't out in those temps for very long, but you don't need to be in those temps fro very long before things start to get cold. This year I found myself needing new boots. So I've been looking for a tall cold weather pull on boot that I could use for snow blowing and just messing around with the kids in the back yard. I had narrowed my choices down to the tall insulated Muk style rubber boots and this snowmobile style Kamik boot (Greenbay 4 Cold Weather Boot). The Kamik is about 40% cheaper than the Muk boot and the reviews very positive. Since I already have some non-insulated mud boots, I didn't see the point in spending more money on the insulated ones, when the Kamik boots should meet my needs.I typically wear a 12.5 in boots and shoes. I ordered a size 13 as I'd rather run a little larger in a winter boot so you can wear thicker socks. The boots arrived in 2 days (prime member) and everything appeared to be in good order until I took a closer look at the left boot. It looks like the machine missed the about a 4" long section when it was sewing the upper nylon portion of the boot to the lower rubber base. There were no needle marks in the rubber at all, it simply got missed. I tried the boots on anyway to make sure the size was right...I'm glad I did. While the size 13 fits, it was a little tight. It wasn't so tight as to cause pain, but I was wearing pretty thin athletic socks. I put a thicker sock on and the boot was very snug, again, not painful, but you don't want a tight boot that impedes circulation during the winter, you want the boots loose enough to allow for good circulation to keep your toes warm. I know that occasionally these boots will loosen up after you wear them a bit, but I just didn't want to risk it.So I contacted Amazon and told them the originals were defective and that I needed a size 14. The replacement boots were here within 2 days (thumbs up on Amazon service...as always). The new boots appear to be made very well, I think the first set was a simple defect, that probably should've been caught before they went out the door, but no real harm done. The new size 14's fit much better. They're a little loose with thinner socks on, but they fit just right with a thicker sock. There's a little bit of slip in the thinner socks, but the adjustable ankle strap helps with that. Again, I'd rather have them fit a little big than be too tight.I've worn the boots out into the cold 5-10 degrees the past couple of mornings, and they're very comfortable and seem to be very warm. I may not need a heavier sock in these boots as long as it doesn't get below -10. The boots are a little on the heavy side, but let's face it, these are a size 14....there wasn't anyway the boots would be lite with that much rubber on the tread. The traction appears to be top notch and the tread is deep. The boot comes up to about mid calf on me. The top of the boot is just under 15" from the ground. The top draw string is nice and helps trap the heat in and keep the cold and snow out.Everything about these boots indicates that it's built well, yes I had a defective first pair, but that happens sometimes. The boots are warm, tall, and the service from Amazon was great. Two sets of boots in 4 days, you can't really beat that. I deducted one star since the first par was defective, but other than that I'm very satisfied. I think buying shoes on line is always going to be a crap shoot as to whether or not the size/fit will be correct. A size 12 in Nike, isn't always a size 12 in Adidas, so why should snow boots be any different.

Bought these so the snow would stay out of my socks when shoveling or out feeding the chickens in the winter since they are so tall. Easy to slip on and off at the door so I'm not tracking in mud or snow through the house, they also can cinch up to keep out the deeper snow. Will probably use them for hunting in late season as well, seem warm enough, but not really best for extended hiking as they are not designed or intended to fit snug around the foot. Size seemed correct, for me, anyway. Sturdy, somewhat bulky rubber lowers give great footing when out mucking around. I'd say worth the money.

Great Fit with more space for the toes, always measured by the length of your feet size, the US size for the snow boots is totally different from the normal shoes sizing. Perfect, comfortable, and best is made in USA.

Living in Winnipeg, the weather can get mild 1 hour to extreme cold a few hours later. I am very impressed how well made these boots are, Nice thick actual FELT liners, the fit was perfect, i wear a 10 street shoe so i ordered a size 11 boot, again great snug fit with a winter pair of socks, the combination or the Velcro strap on the lower section of the boot works great, good quality velcro. the top lace is heaver duty with a lock that actually works to hole the lace closed. The one thing i found VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE was a honey comb base in the heel of the boot, it actually acted as a water/sweat seperator, it seamed to draw any sweat/water away from my feet. I noticed this after after removing the liners after using them straight for 6 hours - 2 days in a-row. I do have bad circulation in my feet but these books kept my feet very comfortable. I do walk my 4 dogs 2 times a day for a minimum of 1 hours each and the soles have great grip and do not seam to slip on ice sidewalks. I would recommend them anytime
