I bought these to replace heat emitters/bulbs for my Monitors. The "emitters" were eating up electricity and were limited in area heated. The entire surface of these "pads" will hit the desired temp.My Ackies use the 18" one and my Argus uses the 48" version. And I "think" they use about half the power of an emitter.These are far easier to move around vs heat lamps hanging from the ceilings.You will need to purchase a temp probe with temp control.I recommend this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098PZ23DD?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailsI can not see myself ever going back to heat emitters or bulbs.Love these things.

I use these heat pads for my black throat monitor and Argus monitor hides. Keeps them nice and warm through the night.

First time out of the box was used to save this little guy. You can buy a temperature control/ timer for it also. I will definitely be getting one of those. Be careful not to bake your critters with any of these warmers. Loved this and would buy it again.

Tough, warms well l, sturdy but not comfortable and kind of hard to clean but the grips on it help pups crawl up to mama so I understand the sacrifice in that area. Overall great product- worth it!

Using this to keep puppies warm when outside. I plug it in when it's cold or at night and they can use it or not use it as they wish. They seem to like it and when it's cold they are definitely lying on it. I just bought a smaller size for use inside with very young puppies.
