I originally purchased three individual kasa switches and utilized them in another room in my house. The setup is extremely simple and I found the integration with Alexa was very smooth and they are my go to switches. This set has a specialty cover plate that ensures the two switches sit in perfect alignment and are flush giving a great finished product over using a conventional cover plate and having slight alignment issues with individual switches. While I don’t have an issue these switches are not a conventional on or off type switch but function as push type switches. When off the switch has an illuminated symbol showing it is ready to be operated, when on the symbol is off. I will be purchasing additional Kasa switches as I expand my smart home.

The Kasa Smart Switch 2-Gang HS200-2 has been a fantastic addition to my home. Installation was straightforward, and the switch integrates seamlessly with my 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The Kasa Smart app makes it easy to control the lights remotely, set schedules, and use voice commands with Alexa or Google Assistant.Performance is reliable, with no noticeable lag, and the ability to control two lights independently is a great feature. It also integrates well with other smart home devices, enhancing my overall smart home experience.Overall, the Kasa Smart Switch 2-Gang HS200-2 offers excellent value for money, providing convenience and smart functionality at an affordable price. Highly recommended!

Saw a couple of reviews saying they had difficulty setting this up. And even one saying this 2 gang kit is less reliable than 1 gang...well this 2 gang kit is actually composed of two individual 1 gang units...that can be combined into a 2-gang wall plate. For us, it was easy and flawless. Perhaps key is to make sure you're attempting to connect this to 2.4ghz wifi. Some wifi routers combine all radios...2.4ghz, 5ghz, etc into the same wifi SSID. Some devices have issues connecting to combined SSID's. Do yourself a favor and configure your wifi router to use unique SSID per radio. This way, when you connect to the assigned SSID for your 2.4ghz wifi, you are guaranteed that your device(s) are attempting to connect at 2.4ghz and not 5ghz.After successful wifi connectivity, it prompted me to do a firmware update. That was successful too. I already have my Kasa app (we have other Kasa switches in the house already) linked to SmartThings, Alexa, and Google Home, so it was as easy as saying "Alexa, turn on kitchen lights" or "Hey Google, turn off dining lights". The physical dimmer buttons work great as expected...however, I have not tried using voice commands to control light dimming fuctions.

The switch itself works great and pairs easily with Alexa. I have numerous Kasa smart switches and plugs, they all work flawlessly. The two gang switch has issues pairing. I tried multiple times with my phone and it would not pair to the switch. Read a review that said to try with a tablet so I tried that. Two gang switch paired immediately without issue. Note, you pair one and then the other. To pair the second switch I had to rejoin the TP-Link WiFi network even though I was already connected to it.

Took me a while to install, but that was because my old 1974 house had a small fiberglass wall box. My dad helped me take that out and we installed a new, much larger box and these went in easy enough after I fought with some wire nuts.I used my own wire nuts because of how my house's wiring is. There were one or two too many wires involved to do it all with the simple little brown nuts that came with this. One gripe I have is putting on the wallplate. It does look clean once on, but it is very easy (i did it once, maybe twice) to overshoot the screw into the plastic on the switch when you are screwing it into the wall. I ended up being slightly out of alignment and this made it a real pain. There's still a tiny gap that I can tell when i'm looking for it, but overall it came out fine and this is MOSTLY my error, not the product's.Pairing was a little wonky with switching wifi back and forth, but I got it set up pretty easily. I'm an IT Systems Admin though, so I might have an easier time with it than someone who is brand new to smart home stuff and not used to changing wifi around to pair things, etc.

Connecting is basically the luck of draw. You have to keep trying to add the device until it finally connects. The first gang took about 25 tries, the 2nd gang took almost over 150 tries with a 3 hour duration, it sits there on the connecting to smart switch screen. You have to do a combination of force closing the app, deleting and reinstalling the app, turning your phone on and off, and turning your power breaker off and on for a few seconds. DO NOT follow TP Link's method of troubleshooting which consists of holding the reset button for 5 seconds and especially don't reset your router. It's not your connection's fault. It's this garbage product sorry excuse for a smart switch. Absolute worst experience ever, I used to use Wyze and never had a problem! worked seamless for over a decade, and when I moved I decided to cheap out and go with Kasa, worst mistake of my life that I really regret. Good luck everyone with your nightmare setup process. I for one will never buy a Kasa product again.

These things have made my life so much easier.Forget to turn off the lights? Ask home assistant. Need to turn on the lights and don't want to get up? Easy! Need to automate them to turn on and off at specific times? You betcha. They were easy to install, the switches feel nice to press, they are easy to connect to your network and connect to Google Home, they look premium and the plate is high quality as well.If you are thinking about it just get them. My only downside is that I need to keep buying and installing more every time I remember a light switch that isn't smart.
