- Manufactured to perform in both freshwater and saltwater environments the KastKing 6” stainless steel fishing pliers and 7” KastKing fillet knife will be a great addition to your tackle box!
- Both the pliers and fillet knife are made from 420 stainless steel. They are not only corrosion resistant, but they are also very durable. For extra protection we added an outer coating which creates a hard outer shell to protect against damage and corrosion.
- Tungsten carbide side cutters can easily cut mono, fluorocarbon, and braided lines. These anvil style cutter blades resist rust and the side cutters allow you to cut close to knots when needed.
- You will find the plier’s thin handle profile is both comfortable and easy to grip. This is a great set of pliers and fillet knife from KastKing. The pliers are a perfect size that combines the right amount of leverage and being compact enough to where they don’t take up too much space. They fit well in the holster and it has a decent belt clip that keeps it securely fastened. There is not a positive lock that keeps them in the holster but with the attached cable slinky lanyard you are able to make sure they don’t get lost in the water. The tips of the pliers are aligned perfectly and the removable inserts are aligned tightly and are able to cut easily. They could also be removed for sharpening if needed.The fillet knife has a great curve to the sharp blade and it flexes well. The knife slides smoothly into the sheath and has a strong click when it is fully seated against the handle. The handle has a great feel to it and is secure in my grip.Overall I am pleased with the purchase and highly recommend this set to anyone needing a good solid knife and pliers.

Had a rapala brand before this one. This one is substantially nicer. Stays sharp longer & handle is more comfortable.

This set is a great value. I've been looking for a quality pair of pliers that I could have ready. These fit the bill great. They are sturdy, lightweight, and the handles are non-slip. The only issue with the pliers is the holder. The clip that attaches to your belt doesn't have a good lip on it to keep it attached to your belt, so it will come off if you'r in a hurry pulling the pliers out, which tends to happen every time I catch a fish and go to remove the hook.The filet knife is great. It's a large knife that's flexible, like I want in a filet knife. However, it doesn't come very sharp, so I had to spend some time sharpening it. The other issue with the knife was that the tip is not sharpened. It looks like they made it that. way on purpose, but it does get in the way of filleting fish. I used it to cut up some slot redfish I caught and it did an okay job of it, but its weaknesses definitely shined through as well.Hope this helps you to make an informed decision!

The knife came dull, and the steel is hard. Took me a while to get a 20° angle on it, but now that it's sharp it will shave hair right off your arm. The sheath is great, just wish it had a loop to put on your belt. I think the blade will hold it's edge well, time will tell. The pliers are great for split rings, and the cutters cut right through braided line like butter. They even cut single strand 40# wire leader, but I wouldn't recommend it. The holster and belt clip are good also. Great value-quality items.

Knife needed sharpening after filleting two pompano. Not a big deal but investing in a knife sharpener would be a good idea.

The pliers work great with rings and the line cutter cuts mono and floro but has issues with braided line.Had to sharped it because it wouldn’t cut a plastic baggy , I would think that a filet knife would come sharpened from the factoryThat’s the main reason for less stars the sheath is very nice with the latch in system

Nice little kit the onli thing is the nife is dolle but you onli need to sharp it
