The LED light bulbs that I have are longer than the bulb cover. I don't want the bare bulb hanging from the fan, ugly. I wanted a bulb cover that is deep enough to fit over the longer light bulb. This cover is perfect, it fits the standard fan light collar, it looks good, and I like that it isn't glass. A standard bulb might get hot enough to be problematic, but the LED bulbs don't get hot. LED bulbs are brighter, use less energy, and last a lot longer, so it's worth buying a bulb cover rather than buying standard bulbsFor the price, the quality and the appearance, this is a good choice.

Accidentally broke my porch globe moving a screendoor. We live in 130 year old farmhouse without standard ceilings. This seemed like a perfect options since it's acrylic and likely to survive bumps.It looks great and you can't even tell it's not glass. I'm very happy!

Kastilic GLOBE is Good value + secure material, thickness & fit within the metal base that's attached to house. Allows for as much Brightness as Bulb will allow. Appearance is nice for Backyard. BUT definitely measure the Necessary "Neck" & the Length of BULB YOU WANT TO INSERT. I prefer 100 Watts Equivalent w. Outdoor bulbs. But this Globe is Only 6 " so I had to use a SHORTER BULB, a 60Watt Equivalent. The longer 100 Watt Equivalent LED Bulb was too flush with the Globe Bottom, thus might have caused the 100 Watt Bulb to Disfunction-Ceased light. Perhaps due to heat? So I inserted a shorter LED Bulb I had in the house. I/you best search to see IF THERE IS A 100 Watt LED EQUIVALENT that is LESS THAN 6". This 6" Globe is Best for 5 " or shorter Bulb.

This fits perfect. I bought the bronze. I thought it might darken the light too much but there's still plenty of light. I'm very satisfied

I was disappointed because the light cover was made of plastic. I'm always nervous to leave a light with plastic cover for a long time because the heat could cause a fire. I always buying glass covers for a piece of mind. When I purchased, I missed the description that cover was made of plastic. I'm sorry for that.

Bought the clear versions for old lamps that are probably from the early 80's. They look nice and aren't fragile like the glass ones. There is a slight vertical line on one side of the globes, but this can be turned to a side that is not viewed -- but also is not horribly obvious.
