Worked fine when I first purchased it. The length seems a bit long for my ZX6R 600J but it works fine - there is just less adjustment for later. After only having ridden the bike a few hundred miles, it became very hard to shift, so I adjusted the cable, with little effect. Upon inspection, the end of the cable by the clutch lever is frayed and now the cable is useless and the bike can't be ridden at all. There are no kinks and nothing is rubbing, so I may just have got a weak or poorly manufactured cable. Motion Pro seems to make decent products, so I will try another one, but I am disappointed and wouldn't recommend at this point. I will update when I have used the second one for a few months.UPDATE: The second one I purchased lasted until today. That's only two years, when the OEM lasted 17 years. NOTHING has been changed on the bike. It is routed correctly and it frayed in exactly the same spot, right by the lever. These really should last longer, Motion Pro - What gives?

Seems good quality, but I'm pretty sure they sent me the wrong cable. It's too short and it doesn't really fit

Direct replacement. Fits great. Just make sure you dont forget to put the nuts back on before installing .and connect the handle first before the transmission end
