Size, large and thick, very nice and cooling adds character to the cage, safe cause the chinchilla cannot lift it up. Ease of cleaning use wipes, and you put them in the fridge to chill them down. Thicker than the ones in your local petsmart.

This is a great quality cooling stone for small animals. I'm sure my rabbit would love it if he'd stop trying to pick fights with it. He's not very smart. That's fine. This is still a great product.

We hit an unexpected heat wave and have no air conditioning. With one pregnant gerbil and her older baby daddy at death's door, fans and cold food simply weren't enough. They looked fairly miserable in between nuzzling each other and continuing to enjoy an active sex life. TMI? Okay, sorry! To see them sleeping apart due to the weather was heartbreaking.This is just a piece of granite that you place in your fridge and then in the cage/tank and it retains the coolness for awhile. The package tells you to keep 2 slabs on hand so you can swap them out - while one is chillin' your pets aren't left waiting and getting hot again. The gerbs checked it out, promptly peed on it, then dad settled in happily. Mom not as happy with it. Urine wipes off easily and doesn't stain it. I put it in the freezer a few times to get it colder faster and then put it back in. It doesn't seem to stay cool as long as I'd like.They sleep soundly on it - together. A bit of toilet tissue for cushioning helps them avoid having a hard surface to try and get comfortable on. I've kept and bred gerbils for decades and would recommend this. The slab arrived with no chips or broken parts. I suspect if you do get a broken one it will be because the delivery people handled it poorly. This might also be a good product for cats and small dogs.

The last chinchilla chilling slab I had, the little jerks shoved a bowl from the top ledge onto it and broke it into 3 pieces. That one was just ceramic. This one is a nice, heavy, thick slab of granite. It's a good size and I feel it is safer than my previous choice. Plus the ceramic one, they were able to chew the edges off of. This one they cannot. It cleans easily with a light soap and water wash once in a while and dries with a quick wipe down. Very happy with it.

I expected the stone to possibly be cracked in transport but everything came in perfectly and all of my guinea pigs love them. They are the perfect size for all of my shapes and sized of guinea pigs.

These are very hard to come by so I’m so pleased I managed to get hold of one and at such a reasonable price. I use these during the hotter months for my Syrian Hamster, but have used in the past for my Chinchilla. Very well made and good quality.

Es perfecto para las temporadas de calor asi se mantienen frescos y para mayor provecho metan al refri para que este Mas Fresca con uno 10 minutos se hace super fria, sobre el tamaño es ideal solo para una chinchilla si tienes Mas chinchillas compra otras asi no se pelean 💕 la recomiendo bastante y no se preocupen porque la muerdan al inicio se les hara raro y obvio Es algo desconocido para ellas esta muy dura por lo tanto no van a roer nada y dejaran de hacerlo😊

Great product and stays cool. I think that it would be too small for a chinchilla, but it’s a good size for my Syrian. He doesn’t really use it to stay cool because it’s not super hot, but it’s all nice to use a a weight in case my wheel turns over or as a flat ledge to place hideouts or the food bowl on!

Avec les grosses chaleurs j'ai voulu essayer ce "tapis" en granit et je dois reconnaître que ma chinchilla aime bien ! Elle n'hésite pas à aller dessus !
