Several reviewers complained about this item not being the correct size for them. Apparently there are at least three standard sizes for down-rods: m14, m12, and m10. Make sure you order one that is the size you need.

I had ordered an open box light fixture from Amazon that was deeply discounted - and, as I found when I received it - missing the hardware and hanging rod. This replacement rod worked in a pinch, and came with enough nuts and bolts that we were able to cobble together something that worked. It is slightly thicker in diameter than the fixture itself, but I don’t think it’s noticeable and I appreciate the sturdiness.

This product was expensive for two black tubes. But if you have a million other projects to get to, this is a quick fix that lets you move on to other projects.Lighting height matters and can help if you got something second hand or something inexpensive.Good luck with your project and I hope this helps!
