This drain extension is rigid metal, sized perfectly with a threaded slip joint that seals up easily with no resulting leaks. If you're replacing a vanity sink drain, or adding to a branch drain it's a good thing to have handy!

I was installing a vanity where a pedestal sink once existed, and this extension was the perfect size and fit so that the install was effortless. I was annoyed at first trying to get the washer on, but it is so amazing in how well it holds that it was worth the extra minute it took to push it on. I wish all washers were made this well. I will definitely purchase again for other jobs.

The metal the threads and giant nut are ok but the rubber sealer ring does not tighten up on the above pipe . I had to replace it with plastic type to get it to clamp around the tail above
