Sun with a newborn definitely needs a hat to protect from the direct light. I liked this hat it's soft reversible and is finally fitting my son. He is 8 weeks now and it fits perfectly, my son was c section preemie so I've been having a hard time finding hats that fit. This hat is perfect for my son when he goes on his “walks†with grandpa! It helps block the sun for his eyes and he can still enjoy the view. It is also very stylish, he looks very cute! Unlike other hats, it doesn’t bother him either so he’s not trying to take it off the whole time. I would recommend this!

I know it's most important function is to keep sun off of him, but can I just say that it makes him even more adorable...if that's even possible!!! It's super soft, and he does a pretty job of keeping it on.

Fits our 7 week old almost perfectly now. It was very large on him at 4 weeks old but we still used it anyway to protect his head while he’s in the baby carrier. U wont find a sun hat small enough for an infant younger than 2 months old, for those looking. This one fits 2/3months and up. Light weight and cotton.
