Exactly what I needed for my Bissell 3197A.The prior belt was the original and had stretched overtime allowing the roller to slip no matter what setting was chosen for pile height.New belt went right in and roller is back to normal speeds at setting 3 for my beaten down medium pile carpet.This item came with 4 new belts all nearly folded in a resealable plastic baggie. This is nice to toss into the closet instead of having loose belts laying around that will inevitably be forgotten what they belong to....Props to Amazon and their next day delivery; I ordered this on a Saturday afternoon and the item arrived the next day around 7pm. Amazing.I would say "would buy again" but I think this 4 pack of belts will likely outlast the life expectancy of my vacuum. So instead I will say "highly recommend"!

They fit but a little to tight you can smell burning rubber. I don't think they'll last very long.

15 month review: tl:dr: worked well for one year, remaining 3 seem totally fine so it looks like this pack will buy 4 years of service.- I don’t know a whole lot about the material used in vacuum belts, so I don’t know if these replacements are significantly different from the stock Bissell belt, but I’m satisfied with it even though I recently discovered a terrible sound all of a sudden. I was worried the motor got some hard something in it and all the innards were becoming destroyed, only to find that the carpet brush belt had failed on one side and was trying to shed its outer surface creating that terrible vibration and racket. Comparing this to the original belt it lasted longer. (The first one failed after 5 months when it got the edge of a carpet stuck in the brush which promptly melted the belt where the spindle was relentlessly spinning)I have gotten this belt jammed in similar ways and it’s never failed. So maybe either you get a belt that doesn’t dry out but will melt if stuck or choose one that won’t melt but will dry out, —orrr — I got really good at quickly un-jamming that carpet brush fast, because I knew it would melt through. Hard to say. (Anyway, this is prob far to much info but the photo of the belt was too good to not-post!) hope this helpes someone. Cheers, and good luck with your scenarios!
