Fits like it should and not difficult to replace. Considering the complexity of the multiple parts inside, and the time it takes to clean it out, replacement of a 15 year old nozzle made sense to me. I've read that some of the internal parts can become slightly warped or brittle. Even though they look intact, they might simply have aged out of their effectiveness window.

It was the exact part number I need for the water softener and cheaper buying the whole assembly then each internal piece separately which saved me some money! It popped in the kenmore 420 series water softener zero issues after the install and I waited a few days before making this review, also buying this part saved me from refurbishing the whole unite my self.

I have been having a heck of a time with my old water softener. I actually hadn't used it since buying the house 10 years ago. It's just sat unplugged since I've taken ownership. So I decided to go down the rabbit hole and see if it worked.After several previous attempts to fix it (was FILLED with rock solid salt that had been turned to brine and then back to salt again), I decided to open up my Venturi assembly and clean it out. I discovered that the previous owner attempted the same thing, but what I saw were 2 missing parts, and a shattered and incomplete gromit. Assuming that these parts were put in there for a reason, I decided to order this one. It looked the same, and at the time, was the only on on Amazon I was finding. Turns out, there is another Venturi assembly that is labeled as the correct part for my machine. So I'm not sure what the difference is between the two, if anything.But regardless, this part did fit my softener, and was filled with joy when I saw the brine water actually go down in level. So yes, missing parts in my assembly were needed.I now how soft water.

It went in very easily. No problems. Solved the flooded brine tank problem. I had anticipated purchasing just the gasket, but there are so many tiny parts you must remove to get to the gasket. Yes, the gasket was about $15, but so much less hassle buying the entire unit. This one was about $40, but no labor cost. Just popped in so easy and I didn't lose any tiny parts. (Happy Dance)

Replaced in my Whirlpool Water Softener in about five minutes. MUCH easier than taking the old one apart and cleaning it. Also no chance of losing parts.
