These self feeders are perfect for my pups. Sometimes I have to work late and I worry about getting home in time to feed the dogs. With these self feeders that has been eliminated. It doesn't put too much in the bowl just enough for them to come by and get a nice snack a few times a day. I also purchased the water version and they both work great.

Large enough to feed 2 dogs (one 140lb mastif & 1 55 lb Australian shepherd) for 3 days. They had free range to eat as much as they wanted and still had food left. Had people checking on them, have doggie doors etc but sitters didn’t have to refill the container & they didn’t try and get it open, knock it over etc.

For being more than $50 it didn't meet expectations. It generally feels very cheap and the lid doesn't snap on the top or have any way of securing it, it simply lays on top. Found a larger better built unit cheaper from an in person store.

I like the large size that can hold a good amount of food, but aside from being overpriced (in my opinion) it doesn't work well for larger sized dog food. In my case I use Royal Canine Golden Retriever and as you can see in the photo it consistently gets clogged where you have to reach in to break up the food to allow for it to begin falling out again. It also needs to be more slanted or tipped forward for the gravity to work well in general (again have only tried with larger food size).
