We ordered two of these for our boat to connect to our new KMRD765BT. Using the 7M extension cable, we plugged into the head unit, ran it to the location of the first remote. We then installed a CA-Y107mr splitter into the first remote and the first extension cable. Then plugged in a second extension cable into the "Y" and continued on to the transom of the boat for the 2nd remote. What was not explained well upon hook up of the remotes is that they actually have to "register" with the head unit. We knew everything was hooked up well, but they were not even lighting up when the unit was on and working. So of course, we read the head unit manual to find out there was a "registration" section in the menu options we had to go thru. So we did this.....and waited....and waited. It never said it was registered, so after about 5 or so minutes, we turned off the head unit and turned it back on (you know like a computer!) and voila! our remote were registered and worked flawlessly. So far we are very pleased with the layout of the remote and the asthetics and functionality.

My radio unit is mounted inside the head, so I need a remote to be able to drive and run the radio. This remote was easy to install with the cable. Works fine but it does not turn the head unit on if it has been off for a few hours.

It does exactly what I was hoping for...a remote on the flybridge of my trawler, that is wired to my main stereo in the main level salon. It is great not having to jump up and go down the stairs to change channels or lower the volume. I liked it so much, I bought a second as a back up. Be sure to buy the extension cable as that helped the installation process.

Works great! I love having control of volume on/off of the radio on the driver side. Makes boating fun! Reliable too, i have had two seasons with it.

Great Match the KMRM315BT Receiver - Replaced an old Remote for Chap 215ssi cuddy - Little bit of a challenge with rear mounting, however it uses wing nut with are easy to tighten. If mounting in rear of boat, do need the extension cable, little tab of silicon seal to enhance the gasket and round whole cutter.

Purchase highest end pioneer marine head unit and 2 of these. Crazy that you can't use 2 remotes, only one will connect and control the head unit...stupid

This is the 4th remote I replace and I'm done with the brand, the plugs rust out after just a few months, it don't matter how bad you try to seal it, silicone, etc you name it, if finds a way to collect water inside, and the radio is trash too, if they sold a plastic cover would be different but it doesn't exist

Works awesome in my boat. All buttons work as they should. Install was easy just plugged into stereo. Perfect for boat with stereo in the cuddy or for stern controler.

I purchased a Kenwood KMR-M328bt from a different retailer for my SxS and want a remote control face so I purchase the KCA-RC55MR unit. I received an item fairly fast but to my surprise it was the next step down. Upon contacting the seller. The issue was fixed rather fast hence why I only took 1 star off for the error. Should I need anything else from them I would do it without hesitation. They were quick to reply and fix the error.

I read a lot of comments about having to push the buttons really hard to get them to work, maybe some of them are like that but mine is not like that.So far I love it! Had no water issues either!

It was as ordered. Installed on my boat. Time will tell if it will last as some reviews indicate that they are not 100% holding up to water.
