I had been wanting to find a way to reduce my plastic waste from the grocery store and also have less plastic touching my food. These cotton bags accomplish both those things! I have been using them for about eight months and they work great. They have held up well in the washer. The variety of sizes is great for larger/smaller items. A few of the bags are a solid cotton material instead of mesh, which has turned out to be useful for some things (like seeds) that I buy in bulk.

My city recently banned single use plastic bags for produce, so I finally buckled down and got these. Glad I did! Many different sizes in the set and easy to take along with me, with either a few bags in my purse or in my reusable shopping bag. Washing is a snap, I put them in a mesh garment pouch (to prevent the drawstrings from tangling on the agitator) when I do my towels/whites and toss in a little laundry sanitizer. Easy peasy!

I bought these feeling terrible about using the single-use plastic bags provided at the store. These bags work great, they're sturdy, the drawstring works great and, best of all, each bag as a color-coded label that clearly states the tare weight measure which makes it super easy for our local grocerer staff to key in the product at checkout. Highly recommend.**Tip: Don't get rid of all your plastic bags yet. I keep 2-3 bags at home to store our lettuce greens in the fridge. Helps keep the moisture in and makes the lettuce last longer. Very convenient when used for produce like fruits and vegetables. And you can use them for small items when shopping. Always have them available in my reusable shopping bags. I would recommend this product.

machine wash and dry in one of the larger bags as needed. Have had 4 large grapefruit in the big bag, 4 apples in the mid-size bag, cucumbers fit well in the mid-size bag also, little bags are great for lemons...
