I ruined 2 new wicks with bad kerosene (red & sulfur) , my regular sources changed quality. I bought this cheaper one, works fine, flame correct once you install it properly. Over 2 weeks of on & off use, no issues. I often let the heater burn to empty to keep wick clean of any crud. Good, clear, no sulfur kerosene is the key. 10 year old heater burns like new again.
