This helped me passed my smog check due to check engine light cause evap sensor replaced with purge valve sometimes also need to check gas capNot sure how long these last but I’ve replaced that thing like 3x for smog check to pass.

I read some people complaining about the loud ticking noise this made. I don't hear it. It's been in a month now and still working great!! Saved me some $$, and took about a half hour to put in my 2011 Kia Soul 2.0L.

Like others, my 2010 Kia Soul had the stalling issue after filling up with gas. I replaced the purge valve with cheaper aftermarket part and it worked for a couple of months but the problem came back. So I replaced the vent canister close valve (part of the evap system attached to the charcoal canister), because it couldn't possible be the purge valve because I just replaced it. Well the problem continued and I was thinking that a replacement charcoal canister was in the future. But I was talking to a mechanic friend and he said get an OEM purge valve, some times those cheaper aftermarket parts suck. So I got this and, bob's your uncle, no issue the next time I filled up. Moral of the story...don't try to save a few bucks on crappy aftermarket parts. Go with OEM parts. I'll update in a couple of months.

I was surprised it was exactly same part that I was replacing on the car. Perfect fit, it took 10 min to replaced. If you never done it before it might take you 20 min to replace. Thank you for a great part!

After testing the EVAP system was determined that this valve was not sealing and it loose vacuum. This looks OEM and was received in a OEM box. The photo is from the original one that was removed. So far is working, only time will tell.

If you kia soul has a hard time starting it is stuttering after fill up it's almost always this. Especially if you have a check engine that reads evap issues. Have a friend help you or not, but no need to take to the mechanic. Relatively easy to get too and replace. Plus it will feel great to know you fixed it for half of what it cost to fill your car up.
