So, like others have pointed out, this is a supplement, not a topper for dog food. And there is a distinct difference. You HAVE to be sure that you're paying attention to dosing instructions, and that you're checking it against your kibble to make sure that you're not over dosing a vitamin as that can be dangerou. That being said, from what is shown, the ingredient are quality and my dog does like it. But it's losing stars for not being entirely transparent in the advertising.

My pup doesn't really like powders but loved the smell and always sniffs the bag. I mixed it with some pumpkin and he eats it like a champ!

Is it really a “Topper for Picky Eaters Ginger is a picky eater, so I use freeze-dried toppers to get her to eat. She refuses kibble with Kibble Fixer as a topper, and isn’t drawn to eat it directly off a plate. But it’s not so bad that she tries to eat around the Fixer. It lists beef liver as its #1 ingredient, so it should appeal to the majority of dogs that are less picky. I stir it in as a health supplement and add another topper to get her to eat her kibble.

Some of my animals are into this...others are not. It's always hard to tell with my spoiled rotten kiddos! The ingredients look great. They look amazing actually, and my cats and dogs could use more fruits and veggies! It's just hard to get them to eat that (with the exception of one senior cat - he loves it all and loves salad and other weird things cats normally don't eat.) Some of my animals are so incredibly picky where they only eat pretty much one ingredient and rarely stray from that.It comes in a resealable pouch and just a little goes a long way so I'll probably be going through this for a bit.

FOUR LEAF ROVER Kibble Fixer - this is a powered supplement with healthy ingredients that you can add on top of kibble to add digestive enzymes and probiotics. This is more of a supplement verses a meal topper. I tend to think of toppers as being the actual meal, verses just adding healthy ingredients. The powder comes in a bag and you just measure the amount you need on a teaspoon, then add to food. The pouch is a little tricky trying to dip the spoon in, and I think it would be helpful to have a wider top on the pack. The ingredients seem healthy and I can see the benefit if adding to a kibble.

Unfortunately, it's not in my budget to feed my pup a 100% fresh food diet, so I do what I can & I like supplementing with products like this to ensure my pup gets what she needs from a nutritional standpoint. I've tried many similar products, both to aid in her nutrition/digestion & to interest her in her food more- as she's a picky eater who likes variety. After a while, I realized that the VAST majority of products had substantial amounts of filler/excipients in them (i.e. cellulose, sorbitol, stearic acid etc.) & the more I researched, the more uncomfortable I became with giving any of them to her.In that research I had come across this brand, Four Leaf Rover, and I'm so pleased I did! This product in particular is a win-win. My dog likes the taste of it, she doesn't leave her food sitting around for ages anymore. And I can feel comfortable/confident giving it to her. You look at the ingredient list & actually understand it, I love that they use 100% whole food natural ingredients & no fillers ever! It's nice to see a product made in the USA as well.My dog has food sensitivities/mild gut issues & this topper has agreed with her, there's been a definite improvement since she's been on it consistently. So I have something she enjoys eating, made of real ingredients, that's actually good for her (in a multitude of ways)... this product is an absolute no brainer!
